Efficiency Focused Energy Management Strategy Based on Optimal Droop Gain Design for More Electric Aircraft

Due to the substantial increase in number of electrically driven systems onboard more electric aircraft (MEA), power (EPSs) are becoming and complex. Therefore, there is a need develop control strategy manage overall EPS energy flow ensure operation safety-critical (which electrical loads) under different operating scenarios consider losses minimization, exploiting thermal capability generators, load priorities, available batteries with their charging discharging schedules. This article presents an management (EM) that considers aforementioned objectives. The optimal droop gain approach employed as power-sharing method minimize total MEA. A finite state machine (FSM) has been used implement realize reconfiguration operation. proposed EM implemented simulated using MATLAB/Simulink hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) operational scenarios, such normal operations, failure one generation channels, all channels. shown its efficiently conditions reduce system losses.
